Wait Not For Bugs
Wait not for bugs to find another food.
The wasting nose disease that binds in knots
Their oily snouts will not destroy their brood,
Nor screaming in their thousand ears cause clots
Explosive in their central ganglia
To form. Entreaties, speeches passionate
Will not save cheese, nor keep the sangria
From crunchy sipping mouths that mash on it.
Relent, abide and let the larvae storm
The larder stocked with snacks like pickled herrings;
Refuse not entry to those zones unwarm
Where dwell the glacial popsicles and merengues.
For bugs, they are unstoppable in feasting;
The fools that cross them risk for sure a bee sting.
